Field Notes

Description:

Also known as Streaky-headed Canary; this sparrow-sized seedeater is a bird belonging to finch family (Fringilidae). Predominantly greyish to grey, it sports dark grey cheeks, finely white streaked crown, pronounced white supercilium and strong seedeater-type beak.

Habitat:

Seen in protected savanna/woodland of Mukuvisi, outskirts of Harare.

Notes:

Unfortunately, the photos are not ones that I'm proud of; but they are the only ones - this one was a lifer for me; but it also seem to a be a lifer, or a first spotting for project NOAH.
