Field Notes

Description:

A violent splash revealed this crab attacking an equally large fish in a rock pool. The crab released it after my close attention and the fish was still unharmed. I released them both into the same tiny pool.

Habitat:

Rock pool in a marine wildlife sanctuary in Port Phillip Bay.

This is real life on the Earth... Martin.. thanks for sharing this important moment...
Actually my sympathy was for the crab who won its dinner fair and square but lost it when I interfered =( I gave it another chance to recover its meal. What do you do?
I hope the fish got away this time -great series of pics !
