Apparently these guys can't fly if their wings are wet, which is one of the reasons why they "dry" their wings like this. I got really close to one once. They are amazing birds.
Nice photo! but It looks like an anhinga. the beak is thin and the head is small.
It seems to be really big colorful bird. Great shot.
