Field Notes

Description:

Blue rump and tail are diagnostic as well as the bright throat with rufous band under it. Predominant colour is green. Have seen them 2x now and both times they were perched on top branches in a pair.

Habitat:

Seen in the trees around our area in Phnom Penh in the early morning light.

Notes:

First sighting of these was actually in the pouring rain in Sihanoukville a couple weeks earlier, but was not clear enough to make a definite ID.
