I noticed the notches but thought they might be a genetic variance within the species. thanks
I apologize, but it is Dione moneta poeyi, Mexican Silverspot. My arguments: In Vanillae there are whitish spots on the hindwing not black as in yours. Next to these spots is a "pinkish" area, clearly separated from the adjacent brownish and "stripy" area, which is Dione. In Vanillae the color differences between these two areas are not so strong. The markings on the apex of the hindwing are different. In Dione there are some "knotches" at the marginal part of these spots.
