Description:

Mealy white larva of about 4 cm long.

Habitat:

Found on a palm leaf in the jungle, up the Kourou river in French Guiana.

Notes:

The only thing visible was the weblike structure (photo 2). When I opened it, the strange white larva crawled out. Is it a caterpillar?
