Field Notes

Description:

Small tree, 12-15ft, glossy leaves. Bloom is a white, flat-topped cluster, 4-6in across. Leaves have nice fall color. Very slow growing. The Fruits, the black haws, ripen in fall and are favorites of birds.

Habitat:

Full sun, dappled shade, part shade. Various soils, well drained.
