Field Notes

Description:

Forewings are silvery-white with brown. When viewed from above, the moth looks like it has a frowning face - with two triangular"eyes" and a down-curved "mouth". Terminal line with 7 dark dots. Wingspan is 12-15mm.

Habitat:

Spotted on the side of a house near a light in a semi-rural area.
