Field Notes

Description:

Grey with an intricate pattern of black spots and eye spots. A wavy white margin separates these from the rest of the plain coloured wings.

Habitat:

Roadside verge on the trail leading to the mud volcano on Baratang Island.

Notes:

Mycalesis has so many species all with differently oriented spots and eyespots, I get confused.
