Description:

This squirrel has gray and brown mottled fur with white around the eyes. It has a huge mouthful of plants in its mouth. The video shows it dusting itself, posing and running across the trail.

Habitat:

Along trail in mixed-Oak forest at Blue Sky Ecological Reserve

yes,you are right . These are ground squirrels.Grey squirrels build Dreys. Could be bedding for the burrows.
