Field Notes

Description:

Recently, the lime tree in the backyard has been spotted with these insects, especially on the new shoots. Rolls of them lined up along the stems. I am wondering whether these brown ones are aphids. There are some black ones too. Anyway, a lone ladybug nymph was spotted happily chomping away one on the same leaf.

Thanks for both comments. There're just not enough ladybugs to go around here. And yes, I believe you're right, JesusSB. :-)
I think the red tiny ones are absorbing the plant fluid.
