Field Notes

Description:

The legs & carapace are amber brown in color. In comparison to other members of the genus, the chelicerae are short & held in a vertical position. The abdomen is elongated & has a silvery sheen which is broken by an amber colored line in the middorsum. (Spiders of the Eastern United States - Howell & Jenkins)

Habitat:

Semi rural.

Notes:

Saw a number of these small (around 5 mm long body) spiders while I was weeding today.
