Description:

Pomfret has a color ranging from silvery gray to bluish on the back and sides; however, the ventral sides are silver with pink highlights. The flanks having 5 or 6 black spots. Its caudal fin is forked with very own pointed lobes (in black) of fast swimmers.<br> <br>
La palometa tiene una coloración que va del gris plateado a azulada, en el lomo y los flancos; en cambio, las caras ventrales son plateadas con reflejos rosados. Los flancos tienen 5 ó 6 manchas negras. Su aleta caudal está muy bifurcada con los lóbulos puntiagudos (de color negro) propia de nadadores veloces.

Habitat:

Costa rocosa de Cabo de Palos, a orillas del Mar Mediterráneo.
