Field Notes

Description:

Gray, black and white moth with a red abdomen underneath wings and on front legs. The underside of the wings are gray, red and gold. This moth just wouldn't fly away. It allowing me to take an image of the beautiful colors before it was placed back where it was found. The eggs can be seen at my other spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7712034

Habitat:

Backyard window screen, attracted to the light at night.
