Sea Turtle

Most species of Sea Turtles are omnivorous as adults, eating seaweed, jellyfish and other invertebrates, however, Green Sea Turtles are herbivores. All Sea Turtles have a commensal relationship with barnacles. The barnacles benefit from growing on the shells of Sea Turtles, while the turtles are not harmed. It takes decades for Sea Turtles to be ready for sexual reproduction. They mate at sea, and the females will reach the shore and lay their eggs (50-200). Once the eggs hatch, the babies must make their way back to the ocean, avoiding getting eaten by predators such a crabs, and live on their own.
