Field Notes

Description:

Tubular worm. Reddish brown. Looks just like the earthworms I find in my garden but these are definitely longer in size.

Habitat:

Because of Cyclone Hudhud it had rained heavily and the paths inside the eco resort on Havelock island were flooded...these earthworms were out in large numbers; may be washed out of their burrows.

Notes:

The common earthworm back home is Pheritima posthuma...may be this one is the same??? Sorry, only one shot...did not want to get the camera wet.
