Description:
A medium-sized songbird with a short, thick bill. Males have a blackhead, rusty-orange breast, nape, and rump, black back, wings, and tail, and white patches on their wings.
Habitat:
Spotted in central Washington State on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains. Pine forest and shrub-steppe habitat.
