Field Notes

Description:

At 6:45 a.m. in the morning, I looked out through the outdoor patio, sliding glass door, and I spotted a snail, moving around on the outside of one, of the three screen doors, that is attached to the outdoor patio. This snail, was about one half of an inch long. It's shell, had six whorls to it. The color of its shell, was different shades of brown. This snail, had two, long, upper tentacles, and two, short, lower tentacles. It also had a long foot. Land snail, is the common name, for terrestrial gastropod mollusks, that have shells. Kingdom: Animal Phylum: Mollusca Order: Pulmonata.

Habitat:

I spotted this snail, moving around, on the outside of one of the three screen doors, that is attached to the outdoor patio.
