Description:

Crickets are have mainly cylindrical bodies, round heads, and long antenna.The back legs have enlarged thighs, providing power for jumping.Its legs are also have a hairs.Some crickets make sound by rubbing parts of wings together.Crickets are mainly nocturnal, and are best known for the loud, persistent, chirping song of males trying to attract females.It feed on plants and sometimes other insects.It's related to the grasshopper. It's approximately one inch in length, have great vision and with its compound eyes can see in many different directions at once.

Habitat:

They occur in varied habitats from grassland, bushes, and forests to marshes, beaches, and caves.

Notes:

Crickets are also kept as pets, they are sometimes kept in cages.Later cricket fighting became popular among commoners.
