Field Notes

Description:

To my eyes it is not very lemony. Looks light brown to me. Prominent eye spots in orange with blackish centre. Small white bars on top of forewings.

Habitat:

On Tridex procumbens flowers growing in the 17th century Dutch cemetery at Chinsurah. The place is surrounded by homes and is beautifully maintained. It has fruit trees, shrubs, herbaceous borders and grass between some graves.
