Field Notes

Description:

Possibly from Genus Ocrepeira. Small, mottled gray spider with a humped abdomen. If anyone can help me confirm ID, that would be great, thanks!

Habitat:

Temperate forest bordering salt marsh. Found resting on a flower spike (?) of a fern-like plant.

I will try posting it. I wasn't sure if the images were of a good enough quality for BG. I am sad they didn't turn out clearer.
Ocrepeira looks right to me too. I don't know how to get these to species yet, it looks like it should be O. ectypa or O. georgia by range. If you submit it to BugGuide.net if someone over there ever figures out how to sort them you'll be notified. Looks like yours would be the first NY submission for the genus over there too.
