Description:

large dabbling duck with long wide bill, hence the name. Male has green head, white breast and rust sides. Female mottled brown

Habitat:

floodplain

Notes:

They had appeared to leave the area and are now back in greater numbers. There are 12 in #2. There must be too much hunting in our area, as the moment they saw me, several left
