Description:
This may be the most common robberfly in the northwoods area of Minnesota. It is about 2.6 cm in length. Like other robberflies it has a bearded face, long and powerful legs. large eyes, and short antennae.
Habitat:
This particular species prefers hunting in dry grasslands, beach areas, dunes, etc.
