I believe it is a black skimmer--but have never seen them here and wondered what their usual locale might be. Thank you!

Welcome to Project Noah, Lynn. You're right; they are black skimmers. When you edit the spotting for the ID you can also adjust the map to show that you spotted the birds at Jetty Park (Port Canaveral). I also have rarely seen skimmers on this coast; very cool spotting.
We saw these birds at the Port Canaveral Seashore, Florida on the Atlantic Ocean--Jetty Park.
