Field Notes

Description:

Our visit here was specifically to hopefully see the Ospreys which nest nearby (about a mile away) and luckily we saw two perched on a dead tree somewhat closer, though still too far away to get good pictures. The light was very poor and visibility not much better.
Although they were flying in and out of the tree we are not sure whether we saw all 3 or not but there are 2 in all these pictures except for the empty nest in the last picture.

Habitat:

Nesting in trees near the southern end of Bassenthwaite lake.

Notes:

Loation approximate only
