Description:

Bulbous plant 5-15 cm, with a bulbous from which come out 1-3 flowers that consist of a tube formed by six flower petals (tepals) of pinkish colour with six yellow-orange stems. It flowers during the autumn. This plant contains alcaloids (colchicine) that keeps herbivorous away.

Habitat:

Endemic of the Iberian peninsula. Spotted at high cliffs by the sea.
