Field Notes

Description:

Medium leafy deciduous tree

Habitat:

Originally from Europe and Central Asia
Spotted here in the Olds botanic garden wetlands. Exposed on the west side to winds. Well irrigated. Open to bright sunlight.

Notes:

This tree has a lot of leaf galls, may want to consider spraying for aphids in the spring
Also has a bunch of broken branches near the top and middle, needs some pruning
Otherwise it seems to be in good health
