Here are pictures and video of the family of wild turkeys that hatched last year...still hanging out with mom and dad...oh yeah, also with 2nd mom and dad...can that be??? There were 2 adult females (see previous posting - no pics of the moms here)...then came 13 teen-agers...then, last but not least, the 2 proud papas! I was amazed!!

Thanks, Apple. I put a different video up because that first one was so choppy! I'm trying to see if I can put up 2 videos! No one has answered me yet.
Thanks for the video, fun to hear them!
Maybe in April...when the house is empty again... The turkeys live there year-round...in the spring we'll see the parents with the new babies...I think the 1-year-olds stay with them because if I remember right, there are bigger "flocks" than this with all the babies! Their favorite route up and down the mountain seems to be between my parents' and the neighbor! We always feed them corn, though...that helps! When I was on the deck snapping the deer pics, I heard the turkeys in the valley below the house and holy crap were they loud! They weren't very close, but I bet there were dozens!! I was hoping they'd visit again before I left...no shows!
Holy COW, er, turkey! That's a lot of turkies! Are they there all the time? I would love to go up there!
Thanks...I was neat to see so many! And all in one happy family! My video skills leave MUCH to be desired!! ;-)
