Field Notes

Description:

I spotted this little guy while out working in my herb garden this morning. He was very friendly and hung out with me long enough to allow a few photos before hopping off. I am not 100% sure if this guy is a oak toad (Anaxyrus quercicus) or a southern toad (Anaxyrus terrestris )...I listed him as a southern toad based on those are the most common found in my area, but this one is the smallest I have found....If I am wrong on the ID, please correct me.

Habitat:

Central Florida.
