Description:
Hemiptera, belonging to the family Pyrrhocoridae, these bugs are common at the end of winter and beginning o spring. Black with borders and ventral in red, they have a couple of yellow marks in the dorsal area.
Habitat:
They are associated with the bushes and lower vegetation in forests near the rivers in the Mesopotamia Region, that includes provinces like Entre Rios, Corrientes, Santa Fé, and Misiones. I took this picture in the Ribera Norte Natural Reserve.
