Field Notes

Description:

About 8mm long. This little beetle was hiding in the leaves of a large black wattle (Acacia mearnsii?) Distinctive, large pale patches near the front of the elytra.. the rest of the animal was black and shiny.

Habitat:

In a local national park with open sclerophyll mix of acacia and eucalyptus.
