Field Notes

Description:

One of the most common and mischievous primates in SE Asia. Here they were trying to steal food from a vendor just inside the park. This one is eating snake fruit.

Habitat:

rainforest, 1000

Notes:

I spotted crab eating macaques many times in SE Asia and it doesn't seem to matter where you are, they are usually not afraid of humans and are usually quite bold. Gunung Merapi national park.
