Field Notes

Description:

Yes, we have two pandas in Belgium, Hao Hao and Xing Hui. Pairi Daiza has made quite an effort to host these two pandas that came as babies, and has built a Sichuan mountain, a bamboo forest and a cave with amethysts for them. It is not nature, all right, but it seems quite a decent living to me :-)

Habitat:

In its native habitat the giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. This specimen lives in Pairi Daiza, Belgium.
