Description:
Hesperiidae; Hesperiinae; Aeromachus plumbeola C.& R. Felder, 1867. There is not a great deal of information available about this Scrub Hopper. Wikipedia's article on this species says it all: " Aeromachus plumbeola is a species of butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is found in the Philippines and south India." and that's pretty much all there is to say.
Habitat:
This Scrub Hopper was spotted in a rice field which was left uncultivated this season to allow the land to rest. When we do this, an amazing variety of grasses and foliage springs up very quickly and creates what I like to call a tropical meadow.
