Field Notes

Description:

Daisy with large leaves a couple of cm across, with a basal rosette and leafy stems, approx. 45 cm tall. Pic 3 shows the individual flowers which make up the composite 'daisy' flower. The inner flowers are disc florets and the outer (with the long petal) are ray florets. The ray florets of this species have distinctive finger like lobes.

Habitat:

Roadside patch of approx. 100 plants in Herb-rich Foothill Forest
