Field Notes

Description:

About 2cm body length. Glossy black with striate elytra that display bright orange patches; the black on elytra has a blue sheen depending on light. This genus is endemic to Australia and mimics Net-winged Beetles, which are poisonous.

Habitat:

Dry eucalipt forest of mainly Marri and Jarrah.
