Field Notes

Description:

Underneath some 100 yr. old live oak trees. In a loosely spaced cluster far the largest single mushroom I have ever seen about 3 ft. in diameter. The mushroom was a bready hard white substance with one of the mushrooms exuding a brown liquid. I think these are the same specie.

Habitat:

Under 100 Yr. old Live Oak Trees.

Notes:

Maiatake??
