Field Notes

Description:

Clicked Mamma mantis: dad probably got eaten. This here is a series spanning over 6 months. The mantis' were "just there" everyday in my garden. I did not realize this could be the beginning of this amazing photo opportunity or I would have followed them through. This series documents her ootheca rupturing, the nymphs released, and two different growing nymphs a few weeks after emerging.

Thank you, Ava! I believe there's so much happening around all the time... if only we could stop looking and start seeing !
