Field Notes

Description:

White underside with a brown/grey top and head. Wings are light black / grey with washed-out white edges. Black feet and beaks. Long thing tail.

Habitat:

Winter in the trees at the edge of where the water level was under the ice. Next to a flooded canal that leads to a lake.

Notes:

This one spent the end of winter while there was still snow and ice in the trees.
