Field Notes

Description:

It is a fish with a rounded oval body, very laterally flattened and asymmetrical. Males can reach 45 cm in length, while females are somewhat smaller (usually about 20 cm). Both eyes are on the left side (as the fish moves on the right side of the body). <br><br> Es un pez con el cuerpo oval redondeado, muy aplanado lateralmente y asimétrico. Los machos pueden alcanzar los 45 cm de longitud, mientras que las hembras son algo más pequeñas (generalmente alrededor de 20 cm). Los dos ojos están sobre el lado izquierdo (ya que el pez se desplaza sobre el lado derecho del cuerpo).

Habitat:

Playa de La Manga, Mar Mediterráneo. <br><br> La Manga Beach, Mediterranean sea.

Notes:

Gray: female <br>

Amarillo: male looking couple. He did not mind not being camouflaged.
<br> <br> Gris: hembra <br>

Amarillo: macho buscando pareja. No le importa no estar camuflado.
