Saw these bugs and took a picture of them with my Sony camera, thought it was a neat photo.

Nice shot! You have the species name correct, but the common name for these bugs is “Milkweed Bug” not “Milkweed Beetle”. They do look similar to beetles, but are not actually beetles. Hope this helps!
