Description:

Hoverfly in Syrphidae family. It is a large distinctive fly with three pairs of white comma markings (lunules) on the abdomen.
Adults are common visitors to flowers. The larvae feed on aphids.

Habitat:

Alpine meadow. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Gredos
