Description:
Group of mushrooms with white, cream, and hints of dirty yellow on pilei. Pileal surface is damp to slightly slimy and planar to depressed in structure. These mushrooms exhibited a strongly unpleasant odor that can be described as acrid, bitter, and reminiscent of burnt rubber or an industrial chemical. The gill surface is white with gills of varying lengths. There is a notched attachment to stipe. Stipe is white and peeling. Spore print is white. This is a first time spotting on Project Noah.
Habitat:
Growing in pine straw/soil in a primarily pine forest in Northeast Alabama (Cherokee County), US
