Bonnet
Mycena sp.
46.3012, 6.02866
Field Notes
Description:
These are delicate looking tiny carpophores growing inside a decaying dead tree, alongside some Coral Slime (pic N°2). They grow in tight clusters, and have conically shaped brown caps, slightly striated et edges. Gills are adnate white-greyish in colour.
Habitat:
Found inside the stump of a dead tree - stump itself about 1m to 1,2m in diameter, about 3m in height; and standing but well decayed - most of its insides was gone or crumbling (pic N° 5). I went to observe this stump few times during this last autumn, and tried to follow up the Coral slime (pic N°2) and these Mycenas. The dead tree is located in a mixed forest (oak, beech, spruce and fir) on a rolling hills at the feet of Jura range.
Notes:
I'm thinking this could be M. maculata M. inclinata; but in the end gave up trying to ID members of this genus.
