Thanks @catgrin. Very helpful. This beautiful Red admiral butterfly on the picture from a unidentified visitor became something like a pet to me. I tried to keep it in my room (because if I let it outside it will freeze) and I succeeded. There has been a week since I found the butterfly and it's still alive. Also I think that I succeed to feed her with fruits and sugary water :) I noticed the knobs but I didn't know that only butterflies have it :) Thanks for the useful info. Regards
Hi Mence, You also asked "butterfly or moth?", so I'll explain how to quickly tell the difference. You have a good example in your picture. Butterflies have simple antennae with knobs on the end. Moths have smooth or fuzzy antennae, but no knobs. Wing arrangement is different too, but the knobs are sometimes the easiest way to see "butterfly or moth?". http://www.uky.edu/Ag/CritterFiles/casefile/insects/butterflies/antennae.jpg
