Field Notes

Description:

A small lynx spider with magnificent colors and patterns. Those orange marks on its body will shine beautifully under sunlight. Oh, there is also a smiley-face on the abdomen. Body designed to lay flat and low on other flat surfaces. About 10mm in length. Possibly a Hamadruas species.

Habitat:

So far only on forest plant leaves in Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, Sandakan, Sabah. I still could not spot this species again elsewhere.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 1000 m diameter. One of my most favored species spotting but unfortunately I could not take a could photo of it nor spot this again.

Thanks Cindy. Yes, the 4th picture is the clearest but unfortunately the artificial light from my camera flash cannot expose it's radiant colors which are only shown under sunlight.
