Field Notes

Description:

A Bolete, I think. Orangish/ cinnamon colored cap. Underside pores are bright yellow. Stem starts yellow near cap and transitions to a similar orangish color near the base.

Habitat:

Sandy soil bordering freshwater marsh. Connetquot River State Park, New York.

It's a Suillus. Not slimy enough to be a Slippery Jack, but one of the Suillus.
