Description:
Large, heavy grasshopper around 6cm in length; head, thorax, and legs are mainly green with brown markings and two pale stripes behind the head; abdomen is pale with three dark stripes down the back. Very well camouflaged among the vegetation. Despite its weight, this grasshopper is a very strong jumper, able of leaps well over 1.5 meters.
Habitat:
Found in the semi arid region in El Cimatario nature park, outside Queretaro.
