Yes, I am really surprised how they adapt to such a wide range of water conditions. I have seen them in the rather dirty pool in a park, in the saline marsh, now the chemical treated swimming pool.
How funny! You'd think the chlorine would bother them. We had a pair in ours for a couple days :)
Ya, Cindy...you are absolutely correct. Few days back a mallard pair descended on our apartment swimming pool. Now they are staying there. The female is lame, but loves swimming on the clear water.
