Field Notes

Description:

This is a beautiful snake found in most of the neotropics, and even that is the same species seen in central america, this variation looks paler in color than the one I am in used to see, but the tail for has a more brilliant red color. the individual in this spotting is about 1.8 mt. and it was very upset at the moment we found it. Boas in general feeds on medium size vertebrates, including birds, mammals and reptiles. they are semi-arboreal but spend lot of time in the ground.

Habitat:

Rainforest, up in trees as well as in the grounds , this specimen we found in a creek.
